Nightlightrider





Some sweet shows coming up at the Nightlight in Chapel Hill...

proof in the pudding:

Sat 02/06 Mountains (Thrill Jockey ) / Horseback / Tape (Sweden) / Ghost Hand - 9:30 PM

Mountains - pastoral electronic soundscapes; on Thrill Jockey label and on tour from Brooklyn.

Horseback - experimental guitar/electronics from Jenks Miller (Un Deux Trois, Mount Moriah, In The Year of The Pig) from Chapel Hill. For this performance Bradley Cook from Megafaun will join him for an abstract set.

Tape - lovely sound art duo; on tour from Stockholm.

Ghost Hand - Local performance artist Peter Pendergrass experiments with vocal sounds and droans mixed with acoustic guitar.

Kevin Blechdom / Swamp Tease / Ancestral Diet / Taboo / Collection Of The Late Howell Bend plus DJ Secret Boyfriend and VJ Irene Moon between sets. - 9:30PM

Kevin Blechdom = multi-instrumentalist / performance artist, member of the experimental electronic duo Blectum from Blechdom and computer country act Barnwave. Releases on Sonig, Chicks on Speed Records, Dual Plover, Tigerbeat 6. The show comes near the end of her two-week residency at Carrboro's Meadows of Dan (meadowsofdan.org), where she will be working on an opera concerning interdimensional murders. http://www.kevyb.com

Ancestral Diet = Caethea lady + Andy Neubauer from Impractical Cockpit, goth industrial trip music from Belfast, Maine.

Swamp Tease = Providence haunted lo-fi garage rock duo of Carlos Gonzalez (Russian Tsarlag) and Ali Dennig (SHV).

Taboo = Maine negative psych rock, bad trip baroom blues.

Collection = Irene Moon + Ryan Martin, dark mid-evil chamber pop w/ projections.
