Saw some killer saber-tooth music late last night. Infinite Body had a microphone growing out of his sassing. Earn made me melt with wishes of ear protection. America Reads was on a rhythmic role with chromatic visuals that digitized my life. Made me realize how to live. The t-shirt bleeds blue and is a lovely experiment in the washer. Loving the Ekhein tape label. The new Earn and Infinite Body releases got the power to sooth the dope sawtooth. Yeah, some nice random pics to boot as well. Also, N.W.A.'s EFIL4ZAGGIN is the fucking bomb that I can jam when no one else is home. I'm planting herbs and it's some gansta-ass gardening...you've seen it probably on the Spice channel. Keep it real homies. Got to take a bath now...more pics in next post (and yes, I'm posting from the bathtub...Gummo style)!

Artist Aaron Koblin

Aaron Koblin is an artist specializing in data visualization. His work takes social and infrastructural data and uses it to depict cultural trends and emergent patterns. I think Koblin has taken art, statistics and geography to a whole new level. Check out his website for his work: http://www.aaronkoblin.com/

Dos America Reads Spanish Perfecto

* America Reads (Carrboro's Lloyd Mason) made a recent appearance on c60 radio. Check it out here>>>HERE. What a great radio show with a sexy yellow power theme. Give the man a muffin, let's fall in love.

Speaking of love, get your dose of William Burroughs...the fish poison con is especially juicy in spring. Free for yen.

Infinite Body's Black Smoke Yen

Hey tiny babies, there's a great show coming up in the next week. I thought I was going to have to drive to Asheville, but alas!!!::::

INFINITE BODY / EARN / AMERICA READS / YOHIMBE

This show is happening on Monday, March 29th at 9:30pm at Ethan Clauset's pad (904 W. Main Street in Carrboro, right across from Johnny's Sporting Goodz).

RIPPED FROM FAZEBOOK:::
Infinite Body + Earn = remnants of L.A. harsh noise reforming into hi-def austere morning dew dream fuzz tone floats, blissed cathedrals

America Reads = Carrboro's mod-synth cold psych head

Yohimbe = the thing I love about Yohimbe is that I keep getting older and they stay the same age

9:30PM

||All the squares will be there trying to dance and taking shots. Should be sweet dreams in the making....everybody's looking for something||

Yokoo Two

Here's some of Tadanori Yokoo's graphic design work too. Quite amazing. This guy is right up there with Bill Cosby for being rad.

Pay homage to the man with your dollars if so compelled.

Yokoo

Tadanori Yokoo
(横尾忠則, Yokoo Tadanori) is a renowned Japanese graphic designer, illustrator, printmaker and painter. I can't get enough of his work, and so I thought I would share a smattering of what I have come across in the recent months. Japanese pop art with a mystic twist. The animations have some pretty awesome soundtracks as well.

The Centauri Agent

Hey folks,

I've been meaning to post some actual music on this blog for a while, so here's a new double LP by Natural Snow Buildings that has just been released as a download only album. So, no shame in visiting Mediafire and grabbing a copy. However, you should check out this label in the process. They are on a mission to provide free high quality music. This release might be a bit strange for some of you, but it's an amalgam of drones and dark folk. Some of the tracks feature vocals, but most are long spaced out psych jams. Natural Snow Buildings is a duo from France, consisting of artists Mehdi Ameziane and Solange Gularte. Both members of Natural Snow Buildings release music also as solo artists: Mehdi Ameziane as TwinSisterMoon and Solange Gularte as Isengrind. This release is a special treat, as most of their output comes in extremely limited quantities and is pretty hard to grab with grubby paws.

The Centauri Agent is Natural Snow Buildings’ first release of 2010, the free-for-download double LP. On part one, the 41 minute “Our man from Centauri” sets the stage, a cosmic, sprawling opener with themes that continue on into “The accidental remote viewer”, before fizzling out into static. Part two is comprised of nine beautiful and intense tracks (particular stand-outs including “The Psychic Circle/Uchronia”, “The storm of resurrection”, and “Solar flares”). Lovely and intricately woven as ever, while frequently heading off into new and challenging sonic territory, Mehdi and Solange have created yet another very special work of musical art with The Centauri Agent!

Part One:
1-Our man from Centauri
2-The accidental remote viewer

Part Two:
1-The Psychic Circle/Uchronia
2-Black holes
3-The storm of resurrection
4-Moscow signal
5-Phantom twin
6-Stuttering probe
7-Solar flares
8-Emergency network farewell broadcast
9-Memories found in a bill from a small animal vet
