Veriohukaiset Blodplatta
Ingredients
4 dl blood*
4 dl milk
4 dl barley flour
1 egg
1 tbs dark syrup
½ tsp salt
dash of white pepper
dash of marjoram
butter for frying
*Bottles of blood for cooking can be found from the frozen food section of the grocery shops in Finland. You can usually find pork blood or beef blood, but try duck blood for fun.
Cook & Prep
Mix the blood and milk together in a mixing bowl. Add the barley flour whilst constantly stirring. Add the egg, syrup and seasonings. Cover the bowl and set aside for 30 minutes.
Brown the blood pancakes on a greased pancake griddle (2 to 3 minutes on each side).
Serving suggestions
Serve the Blood Pancakes together with lingonberry jam.
